Amour time

It's the day when hopefully we get lots of pictures of your attempts to make the Amour, we are looking forward to seeing them, so if you are making the layered shots please send us your pics!
Yesterday was another productive day, we have been asked many times to make the Naga Chilli Toffee Vodka in larger bottles and as those of you that have followed for a long time are aware this is a dictatorship not a democracy in the shed in the fens, so the dictator thought it was a good idea to put Naga Chilli Toffee Vodka Liqueur in larger bottles, so we did 😀
The Naga product is a funny one, it's far too hot and blows our heads off, we won’t tell you the details of what it does to our insides but you get the idea. We were asked many years ago to attend a chilli festival, but we didn’t have any chilli products, so in true winging it style we thought what's our most popular product, Toffee Vodka, looked up a hot chilli, Naga and stuck one in the bottle and left it for a couple of weeks. First taste blew our heads off! We then tried it on some friends who liked chilli, you know the not quite right in the head friends, the ones who like to cry whilst eating a curry. We call these people chilli nuts, they loved it, so we took it to the festival and sold loads. The rest is history, it has its own following and is super popular, every sale made we have a little shake of our heads and a smile.
We told you the story of Matty on Friday, and we keep thinking about him, so we are off to catch up with him at the weekend. We heard that he is still waiting for accommodation, but had been put in a hotel for a couple of nights last week. So what we are going to do is this, we are going to take 10% of all our online sales this week and put it to one side for Matty. We are not going to just give him the money, that wouldn’t be the right thing to do. But we will be thinking if he is still waiting for a place to live then we should be able to put him up somewhere for a few nights and that will be a start. If he has accommodation then we can use the funds to assist with things that he needs. We will keep you updated.
We do like to help people, and have shown this, knowingly and unknowingly and the cynics out there can call it clever marketing or whatever they want to but we cannot and will not allow these people to instil fear into us which will prevent us doing the right thing, which ultimately is as Caroline Flack said BE KIND. So we are going to push through this fear and do it anyway and for anyone who thinks we are doing it for any other reason, that says alot about them.
We will keep you updated on how much has been raised and this blog is the only place we will do it. Everyone who shares a post, likes a post or comments on a post as well as anyone who orders from us, you will be the ones responsible for the funds raised to help Matty and for that we will be grateful and we are sure he will.
We don’t like telling people the things we do behind the scenes to help, whether it be a raffle prize or random acts of kindness. We come across some amazing people on the ground that do amazing things to help people which inspires us to do more. What we are happy to do is shout about how much you have raised which inturn helps people like Matty. Plus it does help us in building the stability in our business which in turn helps us but also enables us to do more.
