Its go time!

Good morning!

It's a very wet and cold start to the day in the shed in the fens, but it's Monday morning, it's a new week and it's going to be a good one, albeit a busy one. 

Actually the next four to five weeks are going to be super full on! There is a part of me that's super excited and there is a part of me that has some trepidation, this is not me moaning about it, its just the way it is, it is such an important time of the year and I no longer say things like I hope it goes well, I am going to make it go well, actually we are going to make it go well. 

The shops did very well over the weekend, which was great, obviously this time of the year they are quieter during the week, but the weekend was very good, so if you are near Hunstanton or Wells pop in and see what's on offer, plenty of samples for you to try or enjoy a cup of mulled gin!

We have the two main Christmas shows this week, Ely Cathedral Christmas market Wednesday to Saturday and Peterborough Cathedral Friday and Saturday, we also have Bourne Farmers market on Sunday, so there is lots to plan and prep for, as Ely is a four day one, there is no way on knowing what to take for the whole four days so there will be plenty of running back of forth to the distillery to restock. If you are coming to Ely we are located in the marque, hopefully you find us, there are around 120 other stalls in there. 

We need to collect more apple juice this week too, so will be popping over to Sandringham to drop the containers off.

Bloody baubles are still going well, it's very close between gold and silver, it will be interesting to see at the shows how they go. 

We have only a couple of products left to make for the advent calendars this week, we are hoping to finish them today and then we can get them packed off and sent out. It's always fun packing them, we have to lay the inner packaging out all over the distillery and then put them in the right hole, it starts off ok and then your eyes go funny and all the squares they sit in blend into one, usually lots of cursing and re-checking, but its totally worth it when they are all finished and then get posted out.

Its my aim to still write the blog throughout the next few weeks of madness, primarily as it really helps me first thing in the morning, to get whatever is going on in my head onto here, however if I miss a day it's nothing to worry about, I’m probably running around like mad, or having a power nap in a layby, but will post updates etc
