Sunshine!
Good morning!
How amazing was the weather yesterday afternoon, I shared a picture of beautiful sunshine. We sat outside the shed and enjoyed a coffee soaking up the sun. Felt amazing, no idea what the weather is supposed to be like today but it started off fresh.
It was funny yesterday, I was out on my dog walk when I suddenly remembered I was supposed to put the still on, we have not run it for a while, since we made the last batch of rum, and it simply did not cross my mind when first thing to put it on. I am very much a creature of habit so it threw me, but it was no big issue, I put it on when I got back and then carried on with what needed to be done. I put it on first this morning though…
We had a pretty good day yesterday, with a few things bubbling away behind the scenes which are inching forward, as I wrote yesterday they will probably all come at once.
We have started to get the shops restocked ready for Easter, it's such a challenging time after christmas, because you don’t want to tie up too much in stock. We have sorted out the opening times for the Easter weekend, so let's see how the weekend goes. I also had an update that the pastries for Wells are almost ready, so when I pop in on my travels it will be a Flat White with a chocolate twist for me!
We have the taster night at Wells on Friday evening, we have not sold many tickets, but that doesn’t matter, the aim is to make it a great night for those that have got tickets and I am looking forward to it, the first one we have held in Well’s, its something we can do more of through the summer periods, I will look at doing another one in Hunstanton as I have been asked by some of the locals to do one. The last ones there were great fun, absolute carnage in a shop on a Friday night!
Got more admin stuff to get through today, plus more bottling etc so time to get our heads down and get on with it.
Best get to the meeting, with a coffee of course
Catch you later
