A new week
Good morning, it's a new week…
Firstly thank you to everyone who supported what we did last week, reading the blogs, liking sharing and commenting on our posts and to everyone who placed an order. As we said last Monday, we do what we do because we enjoy it and it provides an income for the whole team. The important reminder to us is to have fun and we had a fun week.
The AMOUR launch, we put the Valentines sets up on Friday at 3pm, at 3.15 we hadn’t sold a single set, after the launches of previous products we were scratching our heads and then realised we hadn’t told anyone, so we did and then they started selling, thank you to everyone who ordered, they will be going out today and we can’t wait to hear your feedback and see the pictures.
We had many conversations beforehand about how we thought they would go, and we were super pleased with them chipping away, yes it's great when they sell super fast financially but the added pressure this can create can and often does override the success from the sales. Looking back in the past this can often create dark clouds and feelings of failure which might sound ridiculous but it’s true, whereby steady sales are both manageable and don’t leave us feeling overrun. It's a fine balance but it's something we recognise and will keep working on.
Talking about the Amour, we will do some videos either today or tomorrow to show how to pour it.
We have had a lot of enquiries about the Vanilla Cream Liqueur in smaller bottles, we will make a smaller batch of 20 to 30 5cl bottles and will put them online later (and will tell people this time they are on!)
We have our first event this Sunday at Holbeach which we will start getting prepared for, thankfully it's inside so should be warmer, days of standing on a highstreet in the snow at minus 5 like in the past are hopefully behind us, probably shouldn’t say that and will end us having snow in May etc
People are asking about the pups, Ralf and Flo are both good, we will talk more about them tomorrow, they are two very spoilt distillery pups who are currently sleeping in a warm caravan after running round a field, Flo chased a fox this morning, but soon gave us as she was knackered, Ralf couldn't be arsed.
