The Amour!

Good morning, how is it Friday already, the week has flown by

It has been a really good productive week, these blogs are a big part of it. Actually writing down in the morning what we are planning to do which then makes us accountable and then we focus on getting it done has produced fantastic progress and by progress we don’t mean just sales, there are lots of things that are happening in the shed in the fens which will have many benefits going forwards, new products, better efficiency etc etc

We did a poll yesterday and the winner was THE AMOUR! It was very close, thank you to everyone who took part and the many many suggestions. We some appreciate people didn’t like either and that's not a problem we don’t take that personally.

We will do some videos today of how to pour it and it will be available on our website at 3pm today to purchase. If you do purchase it, please send us a picture when you have made it so we can create an album for them, don’t worry if they don’t turn out looking great the first time, they will still taste great!

Guess what? The missing capsules, yup we found them yesterday, we said it would happen and it did, when the new ones arrived they came in a box, the one who won’t be named and shamed was convinced they were in a brown padded envelope, not the brown cardboard box which they actually were in, however the mitigating circumstances were someone had written large sample cups on the box. Yes they do look similar, so the whole team has decided to apportion blame equally across everyone. That seems very fair and reasonable! We all must do better or we are all ok just as we are, not sure which one it is, we will have a team meeting to decide.

So today we are finishing The AMOUR, we have produced 80 sets to put on the website, as always we have zero expectations regarding the actual sales, but if they sell it will be amazing, if they sell quickly we have the ability to make more early next week. We have learnt this the hard way, not everything goes to plan, far better to be cautious than to get carried away, so lets see what happens later..

The still is fully fixed and is on now so everything crossed the Rum gets distilled today.

Have a great weekend and we will keep you updated through our socials on today's progress.

Oh the positive part, we have an amazing team here in the shed who have collectively taken the blame for the capsules…Except we certainly don’t operate in a blame culture, in fact when daft mistakes happen the person who makes them usually feels bad and the rest of the team really enjoy highlighting the cock up to everyone else

Have a good one!
