Forty first!

Good morning!

Happy Monday..

Thank you for all the lovely comments on Friday, we had a fantastic day both reflecting on the journey and planning the next crazy chapter.

We went out Friday night, it was brilliant fun, we let our hair down and had a few drinks, actually we had a few too many but every now and then it doesn’t hurt. Didn’t feel like that Saturday morning when we had to go and set up at a show and try to sell alcohol. But we got through it and had a good show. It does take longer to recover the older you get though and the old hair of the dog might work short term but definitely delays the inevitable. A few days of detoxing and very limited taste testing is on the cards.

Sunday was another good show at Bourne Farmers market, the pink gin went down very well.

We will put this on our website today and it will become a permanent product. If you fancy trying it, highly recommend it with lemonade. That's coming from a bunch of hardened tonic fans!

We will sit down this morning to plan the week (as per usual!)The easter layered shot is on the agenda so more updates to follow.

This is the 41st blog since we restarted writing them, this is the 9th week. It's flown by, it just shows how just chipping away at something, little and often, in this case 10 minutes each morning can soon add up. So that's 410 minutes, 6 hours and 50 minutes out of 1,344 hours and which is nothing. However the benefits for us to allocate that time and stick to it have been massive. It has given us focus, we have developed new products, taken ourselves out of our comfort zones (team writing their blogs) and put in place very healthy routines off the back of it. From the comments it has also helped, resonated and hopefully inspired some people along the way.

As we said at the beginning, we are never going to win any awards for writing, that's ok, it was never about that, the aim was to give the reader an understanding of the good and the bad, the highs and lows and the challenges that are faced at the shed in the fens. We think we have achieved that so far, and now we simply carry on..We say simply, however what often happens is people then change things, thinking they need to do more to achieve more, but in our experience this is what not to do. So we will carry on, chipping away….

Off to a meeting

Catch you later!
