Happy St Patrick's Day!

Good morning!

Happy St Patrick’s Day, also in our case the day we publicly asked for help..

That day will forever be etched in our minds, waking up to literally hundreds of messages asking for our help, we still have those messages, it was truly awful the fear and desperation that was coming through.

Nobody knew what would happen, however by asking for help was the best thing that we ever did. We all ended up helping each other and got through it. We read a comment about some people that are no longer with us, this is true, a couple instantly come to mind. Do you remember Bevlar! What a truly courageous and wonderful person she was, she won the bottle of Bolly in one of our competitions and when she passed away her daughter messaged us to not only tell us of her passing but to thank us for the fun times we had with her during the quizzes and challenges and she said they were going to open the bolly at her mum’s wake. Yes this is being written with wet eyes, but also with a lot of pride and joy at the fun we had with Bevlar. So Bevlar, we will be having a drink for you later.

Today will be a good day, a mixture of reflection and looking forward, with lots of emotions.

One big lesson we learnt through the pandemic, with all the lives, quizzes and bingo etc was that everyone is dealing with their own battles, all sorts of battles and struggles yet through the fun and the madness we created nobody was looking for pity, in fact pity was exactly what people didn't need. What people needed was some fun, some distractions, and some challenges and that is what we tried to do. Some people that were in awful situations thoroughly enjoyed the banter of being picked on online and very quickly gave it back too. Bloody great fun.

We could write a book about our experiences during the pandemic but will leave that for another day.

Today's plan unfortunately does include some work, we have two shows this weekend to get ready for.

We filmed the Pink Gin yesterday and it was delicious. We tried it with tonic and lemonade. It became two very different drinks, with tonic it tasted like a fruity G&T. With lemonade it was like a cocktail, a very dangerous drink! The first batch will be at this weekend's shows and then will be available online on Monday.

Tonight the whole team is going out to celebrate, which we are looking forward to. Tomorrow's show will be interesting so plenty of coffee is needed.

Have a great day!
