Got a plan!

Good morning!

It's still bloody raining! Roads were flooded coming into work this morning and the fields are full of water. It's supposed to stop today and then get very cold so there will be ice rinks everywhere…

It's Friday, even though it was only a four day week it feels like a long one..

We had a good day yesterday, was mainly a meeting day, putting our heads together regarding the shops and what we want to do with them. We have some great ideas and now have a plan. You have to have a plan, then you start working on the plan and see what happens..So that's what we are going to do. The plan can always change but you have to start with one, and that was what we put together yesterday. So now we have lots to work on during these quiet times..

With shops and businesses closing all over the country it's troublesome times, but that's when you have to knuckle down and make things happen.

One of the things that we identified was still locally, when I say locally I mean in Hunstanton and Wells, people come in who are local and say they did not know we were there, they love the shops and the fact that we contain local produce and great quality produce but they didn’t know we were there. So we have a few things in the pipeline, to raise awareness, one of them is going to be an old fashioned leaflet drop. We are going to produce a leaflet for each shop telling the locals where we are and what we do and then spend some time delivering them. It will remind me of my many years delivering newspapers.

Another one of the ideas, not my idea, but a great one, is to try to utilise the cafe in Wells as a community hub, we are going to contact the many small clubs that get together regularly to see if they would like to meet in our cafe, we have space for 18 people, we can offer them a deal on a hot drink and a cake, if you have not been in, its a lovely welcoming space and ideal for small groups to get together and relax etc

We are also going to hold taster nights in both shops in February. We are thinking of Friday 9th in Wells and Friday 16th in Hunstanton. If you are interested in attending please let us know.

There are lots of other things we are going to work on so let's see what happens..

Right off to a meeting..

Catch you later!
