Nearly there!

Good morning!

It's Friday!! Nearly through another week of organised chaos, we have slowed production down now in preparation for the Christmas break. There is no point tying up resource unnecessarily, so we have stopped putting things on to ferment.

Its been a good week though, getting things sorted, plowing through the internet orders and getting prepped for the weekend shows.

The shops have had a pretty good week, we have no idea what to expect but people have been in doing there Christmas shopping and picking bits up, we are getting low of things in the shops because again we have to be sensible come the Christmas break, plus many of our suppliers are running out of items which you would expect at this time of the year. When your suppliers are small artisan businesses they too have the same issues we have, they don’t have an infinite supply of product.

Last night I did a talk in the Library in Chatteris, a nice number of people turned out for it, I talked about Gin and the history of it and how the Gin boom came about etc, they were a lovely bunch of people and I talked for about 75 minutes, some of them followed us through the lockdown periods so we talked about how we came to be making hand sanitiser and doing the quizzes etc. It was a fun evening and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it. I have another one tonight at Aldreth Village hall, Gema and I will be there pouring samples, making drinks etc, It will be another good evening. We are taking bookings for these for 2024, so if you are interested in holding one let me know.

Today involves a lot of running around, I have to go and set up Holkham this morning. We are in a wooden cabin, so I will set that up today which will mean I won’t have to get there too early tomorrow morning because tonight will be a late one. I'll then be going to deliver stock to the shops on the way back before then getting ready for tonight's talk. It's all good though, we are nearly through the busy time.  Its definitely a marathon and not a sprint, and when it comes to a marathon the most tiring part is the last bit, but you just keep your head down and keep going. I am in a good place with it all, and happy with how things have gone.

We are at two shows this weekend, Holkham Saturday and Sunday and also Wisbech on Sunday, the weather is not looking great still, but we look forward to seeing you there.

Right off to a meeting before getting loaded up and on my travels!

Catch you later!

Ant x
