Plan plan plan!

Good morning!

Yesterday went by in a bit of a whirlwind, sorting out the vans from the shows, putting stock back in, doing a stock check and then working out the plan for the week.

One of the drawbacks from producing so many products is working out what to make and what to take to a show, if you were to ask me what were the most popular products that sold last week its very difficult to answer, yes Toffee Vodka and Mulled Gin are popular but what about the other products, gin for example, we have so many flavours, we don’t have the resource to just make every product and take loads of each one to a show. Rum is the same, rum is definitely becoming more popular, but with so many variations which do we take.

So we spent some time first thing working out what we have in stock, what we can produce and what we are going to focus on at the shows, its the same every year, the closer to Christmas we get the more we have to reduce the products we produce. So if you are looking to order online, I would suggest ordering sooner rather than later in case things go out of stock.

We finished off the advent calendars yesterday, its always fun packing them off, I really enjoy laying them all out and making sure the right product goes in the right hole, I don’t enjoy the putting them in the outer box with the windows in you open, this is more fiddly but we got it done do these will be sent out today and you will receive them by the end of the week, assuming Royal Mail do there thing.

We have a few shows this week to get ready for, Bury St Edmunds Cathedral starts on Thursday, we will be setting up Wednesday night for that one, that runs Thursday to Saturday. We have Spalding Christmas market on Saturday, which is being held in the town centre and then we have Stamford Christmas market on Sunday. So lots to plan and get ready for, but its all coming together.

Historically, this weekend and next weekend are the two busiest shopping weekends of the year and if last weeks shows are anything to go by, it will be full on for a couple of weeks, but you can never take anything for granted. It only takes some bad weather and an event can be canceled, or some other thing can happen and what is usually a great event can become a disaster, that's why you have to plan for anything can happen, and usually something does come along and bite you in the bum. So we take one day at a time..

Right off to a meeting!

Catch you later
