You lot are amazing

Good morning!

Another week flown by, lots of little steps made, chipped away and constant work in progress has meant that we achieved lots. 

If you read these daily you will now know it's not all plain sailing, it's not a straight line upwards, you make some steps forward, backwards, sideways and all over the place but if you keep moving you get closer towards your overall goal. 

That pretty much sums up this week. The start of the week was the day we tasted the Whisky and we were amazed at how it turned out. We have been asked by some friends who have not tasted it what's it like, now after some thought, the best way of describing it is this

‘In 12 years of distilling it is without doubt the best product we have ever made’ 

That is not marketing rubbish, it's the truth, and something we stand by.

During the week we contacted a local newspaper to tell them what we were doing and for us the significance of having a single malt whisky made in the fens for the very first time. Even though we knew they would not respond, for many reasons, we put it out there. Guess what? They didn’t respond. That reminded us of the hand sanitiser moment when we said F you (sorry for the language!) and did it ourselves with the help of you amazing people and look at how that turned out. The local paper not responding has lit the fire in our belly again and been an amazing reminder we don’t need them, because we have you supporting us. For that we are very grateful. Money cannot buy the support we have, fancy marketing cannot achieve what we have and what we do, how we do it and who we are will not change. At any price.

You might have seen the picture and update, we have started emptying the barrel and will start bottling today, one of the comments we saw was ‘ I don’t even like whisky but I’m excited watching the journey’. That put a big smile on our faces, it's not about having to buy our product, you choose to purchase it if it's what you want to, which is amazing every time you do, but it's equally amazing having that level of support. So Thank you
