Got to have a plan

Good morning

Hope you all had a good weekend!

We managed to finish the bottling of the Whisky on Friday and will be releasing two lots of 25 bottles tomorrow (Tuesday 27th) times will be announced on tomorrow morning's blog.

We are over the moon with how the bottles look and feel. Today is about producing the labels, the bottles will be individually numbered, batch 1, bottle 1 of 52 etc (bottles number 1 and 2 are put away in special collections). Some people have asked for them to be signed which is not a problem just add it to the notes section when ordering. It is still very humbling that we get asked to sign bottles. It's hilarious when asked to draw pictures like we used to, we won’t be drawing any pictures on the Whisky, it's far too special for that. For those wondering, our drawing skills are still the same as they always were. Comment on FB what was your favourite drawing? The laughs and rows that we had over them during the quiz evenings were brilliant. The shatpie (when someone mis-spelt sharpie on a live and it's stuck!) and the kazoo are still with us, you never know they might get dusted off for a special occasion. Obviously no practice beforehand.

It is also very surreal when we get spotted out and about. It happened several times over the weekend, it's something that takes you by surprise but as people are always pleasant it's lovely when people take the time to say hello.

Matty

We went and saw Matty on Sunday, he is now not living on the street which is amazing, he moved into a place on Friday and when we last met he said he would need to arrange transport to move his stuff from storage, so we offered to do it. He really is an inspiration, life really kicked him hard but he had a plan and has stuck to the plan and secured himself a place to live and has achieved it, by himself, nothing to do with us, our help along with your help is coming in the next few weeks. We spent some time with him and he made us a coffee and we had a great catch up. He makes a decent coffee too so that's a bonus! We felt very grateful to spend that time with him talking about the next part of his plan and how he is going to get there.

So that's what we are doing now. Monday is a good day to plan the week, what needs doing, what's urgent and if there are any deadlines coming up and what we need to do to get there.

So this morning's meeting is just that, just like Matty, make a plan. You have to have a plan, the plan can change as you go but if you start your day or in this case your week without one you will not get anywhere.

Catch you later

Positive part - Matty makes good coffee!
