Birds are tweeting

Good morning!

This morning has already started better than yesterday, the birds are tweeting, bright skies and already feels like it's going to be a good day. Compared to yesterday, which quite frankly was one of those days. 

For no particular reason, it was a day that needed grinding out, until the evening that is. It was one where nothing is wrong as such and nothing major went wrong. It was just one of those days. Its these days that we just keep putting one foot in front of the other and doing what needs to be done. Which we did, sorted out the stock and the show stuff, sorted out the internet orders (thank you for those), checked emails and responded to what needed to be responded to and basically did what had to be done. Everyone has them, this applies to a small business like ours, the shops were quiet because the weather was awful etc. There is nothing you can do about it, so we use this time to get things done. Doesn’t really matter what, as long as we do something.

Then it was time to set up for the gin tasting, then boom, what a blast, the bunch of ladies from Hunstanton area who are members of a ladies club, sorry can’t remember the name of it, apart from its for over 45’s and similar to a rotary club but for ladies. 

We had a fantastic evening, there is something special for us holding these in our own venue, 10 to 20 people in the shop creates a great atmosphere, we can engage with everyone and the vibe is amazing. Some of them follow us and some must even read this because they lined up with the shiny baskets, it was very funny. So thank you ladies for coming, we had a blast.

We will be doing more of these, both our own ones and also for private groups, if you would like to book your own one then please get in touch or if you would like to attend one that we host keep an eye out for dates, we will be working on this today.

So today is more of the same, bottling etc, the apple brandy distilling will be completed early next week and we will be looking ahead to what needs to be done for this weekend shows.

We are also in full preparation for next week's big bar at Peterborough Celebrates Festival, that is going to be great fun, so if you are looking for something to do come over and see us, the earlier in the day/evening you come the more sober we will be, because what usually happens when us lot run our own bar is by the end of the evening we are pretty merry!
