Bobble Hats!
Good morning!
It's a misty foggy start to the day, the still is on nice and early, producing spirit (Vodka) today, having the still on helps warm the place up, certainly in the back room. We also have the heads burning in the front room.
Yesterday was a good day getting things sorted, Gema and I went through the advent calendars, what needs to be made etc and made progress there. We also went through what needed to be ordered for the ‘Bloody Mulled Gin’, this can be quite a challenge as this time of year the essential ingredients can be hard to get hold of or end up being super expensive, but we got that sorted. You might say why don’t you order them earlier in the year, thats a good point, but it ties up cash flow which is needed for other things, shows need paying for, bills need paying etc
That's the joy of retail this time of the year, the Christmas period is essential for businesses to survive, that's why so many go under in the new year if they have not had a successful time. I am looking forward to the madness, it can be stressful but also great fun!
We have sorted the plan out for Saturday's Firework display. It's run by Downham Market round table, the weather is looking good, so if you are going, enjoy a cup of hit mulled gin or a hot chocolate with some toffee vodka in it, both will keep you warm!
Today I have a bit on a run around day, off to Sandringham to deliver the containers for the apple juice, Ill try and take some pics when I am there.
We had an issue with the beanies we ordered, there was a mix up, the dark grey beanies will be here in a week or two, but we do have a load of black Fenspirits bobble hats arriving today, I tried one out at the weekend, so what we are going to do is give them away with internet orders, I will let you know the details tomorrow morning, assuming they arrive today.
Thankfully I have just finished walking the dogs, because its now pouring down here!
We had some fun on the live yesterday, showing off the baubles etc. More of these are being packed off today, I have to sort some signage for the shows actually explaining what is in them, so that's another job to add to the list!
