Cluttered mess!
Good morning!
Thank you for the responses to yesterday's blog. If you saw yesterday I was on my own, plodding along in the shed in the fens. I enjoyed it, sorting out the show stock and packing internet orders and planning the weeks bottling and production. Gema does this on a daily basis so a lot of it I don’t get involved in anymore so its nice to be doing it. It reminds me of when I first started in the shed, I used to do all of it and sometimes I miss those times. As the business grows you get taken away from doing the things that you used to enjoy. We all have our own way of doing things so it will take a day or two to get back in the swing of things.
I really made myself laugh though yesterday, I couldn’t find my bloody keys, so after a few minutes ranting to myself I eventually found them and then had a good laugh, I couldn’t exactly blame anyone else for moving them, not even Ralf and Flo would touch them, they were too busy sunbathing outside. I hung them up this morning so I know exactly where they are, will probably lose something else today, I’ll keep you updated!
One thing is for certain, I am clearly not the tidiest person in the world, very cluttered, I flit from one job to the next, usually having two or three things on the go at the same time which all come together by the end of the day. I did spend a few minutes at the end of the day clearing up so it's good to go this morning. I think I will try and do that each day!!
It's not long now until the bloody bauble packaging will be with us. I will fill 6 of the things this week, 3 silver and 3 gold so that when the packaging arrives I can show you examples of the finished product.
I am bottling Christmas Gin today, this has been selling well in our shops so when its bottled off it will go on our website, if you have not tried it, its a full strength gin that tastes of Christmas, but its not a liqueur, it's not sweet, it still tastes like a proper gin. Serve with tonic and a slice of orange.
We put that competition out yesterday to give the Coconut Rum drink we made a name, as usual the scammers come out straight away, I put a note on the post warning people, just remember we will never ask you for card details or payment of any kind when it comes to competitions. The winner will be picked on Friday and the only thing we will ask for is your address to send you the bottle.
We had a lot of interest in the advent calendars yesterday, as I said, Facebook Algorithm is a funny thing, it will hide many posts, so despite telling people they are available and they follow us on Facebook they still don’t know they are for sale, that's why I keep mentioning them, not for pushy selling, but like last year we had people in November asking why we were not doing them even though we had been posting about them since September. So just ignore us if you are not interested in one, I just don’t want people who are to miss out.
