Go with the flow!

Good morning!

It was good to be back yesterday, we had a good day, there were plenty of internet orders to get packed off and sent out. Someone ordered a brolly so Gema had the delights of creating the box for that again, she has that down to a fine art now. 

As I wrote yesterday and I talked about on the live, it's a quiet time of the year for everyone, everyone is getting over the stresses of Christmas so it's important for us to not to force anything. You have to stick to your core values and just go with the flow and that's what we did yesterday and will continue to do so. Businesses are closing all over the place but it's a time to remain calm, keep chipping away and what will be will be. 

We had our first taster night of 2024 confirmed this morning, it will be the mixed taster night, 12 different drinks, Vodka, Gin, Rum and some others and is being held at the March Conservative club Friday 23rd February. So if you fancy a fun night out contact the club for tickets or send us a message and we will put you in touch with them. 

We have discounted the bauble sets we have left over from Christmas, these are on our website if anyone would like to order them, they will last until Christmas, some people are super organised and like to get ahead. We sold quite a few yesterday so thank you to everyone who did place an order. 

We also spent some time looking at shows, it's crucial to spend some quality time looking ahead as many shows get booked up early. We have some small events in February and March but they don’t really get going until Easter onwards. 

I am planning some more taster nights in our shops and will be looking at dates today. We have done a couple in Hunstanton which went very well, we have not done any in the cafe in Wells so we will plan some, they are great fun. We have also ordered some loyalty cards for the coffee shop, we have plenty of regulars coming in, they will be with us early next week.

So today will be much of the same, just chipping away at what needs to be done and thinking of ideas. We have Valentines next month and I would like to make a special drink for that. Currently I have no idea what but we will think of something. 

If you saw our post about the Whisky yesterday, you will know that the next barrel of Single Malt Whisky will be ready next month. Last year was an incredible success, the product was amazing so fingers crossed this one is too. We used different malts so it will be interesting to have a taste to see how it comes out. Oh for those of you guessing the date we can start bottling, it is 3 years old on the 16th of February but you have to age it 3 years and 1 day so it is officially Whisky on the 17th which is a Saturday, I might have to come in and have a proper taste test on the 17th.
