Just say yes!

Good morning!

How amazing is it to have some sunshine and longer days..probably ruined it by writing that but it really is.

We had another productive day yesterday. We have planned everything for this weekend's shows, The Motorhome Show at Peterborough Friday to Sunday and the St Georges Day being held in March on Sunday. It's one thing planning them, it will soon be Friday morning and time to set the stand up etc

It's interesting how different opportunities come your way, when one part of the business goes quieter, something else picks up, it's important to have multiple avenues and not be over reliant on one thing. For example this time of year online orders slow down at a time when the shows pick up. We also have lots of small things that come our way which are great, we have a local friendship group who are visiting a town in Germany that they are twinned with and will be taking some of our bottles with personalised labels on which is very cool. We also have a group who are based in Hunstanton who want to have a gin tasting in the shop in the evening so we will be doing that. That led to us deciding to hold our own event. It will be on a Friday night, 7pm till finish, it will be very different from our normal gin tasting events, but one thing we will ensure is that everyone has a great time and its value for money! More details to follow..

So it's important to look out for these opportunities because they are always out there, you just have to be open to them and be flexible enough and brave enough to do them. There is a saying, just say yes and then work out how on earth you can do it, we have done this many times and it nearly always works out well in the end. Despite sometimes creating absolute mayhem behind the scenes, we all thrive on a little pressure!

Today is about doing more of the same, bottling, waxing and labelling and getting things sorted and looking for opportunities.

It is also the last day of interviews today, we then have to make a decision, never an easy thing and also not nice having to say to the unsuccessful people they haven't got the job.

Off to the meeting, catch you later
