Expectations

Good morning!

It's Friday!!!!! We made it through a busy hectic week, and today will be no different, especially with the taster night tonight in Hunstanton. We now have 15 people coming, which is amazing. We often hear that we should sell more, hopefully more people come etc but it never works that way. Like we have written before about launching a new product, it is mind blowing when it goes viral but this then brings greater stress in trying to keep up and constantly feeling like you are letting people down.  The same applies to the taster night.

Several weeks ago the idea didn't exist, it only came about because we were contacted by a group local to Hunstanton who were looking for a gin tasting night in Hunstanton which we agreed to, worked out how we could do it and then the idea came to do one of our own, across the whole range for ourselves.

We then went through the usual emotions of what if no one comes, if we put it out there and then have to cancel, how embarrassing it would be. How are we going to make it interesting, fun and most importantly value for money. These are the things that happen in the shed all the time and through these conversations the solutions come. It would be very easy to be blase about it and arrogant thinking that whatever we do will just work, with very little thought or effort. But if we did that it definitely would not work. So instead we always remain cautious, set our expectations at realistic levels and then put it out there gently. Not promoting it constantly everywhere but by just talking about it and letting people know what's happening.

So for us 15 tickets sold out of 20 is amazing, and if the night goes well we will be able to do more especially throughout the summer when the holiday season is in full swing.

We also have to get ready for two shows this Sunday, Stamford and Holbeach.

Thank you all so much for reading these and the support we received, have a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend

Off for a meeting!
