Quiz day!
Good morning!
It's Friday and quiz day!! I'll come on to that..
I had a day off yesterday, it was a wonderful day all round.
Back to it today, it's mainly a day of admin stuff for me, catching up on paperwork that needs to be done, not my strongest point but I will just bury myself in it and get it done.
We have one small show left to get ready for, Bourne farmers market on Sunday, then that's it for shows for the year.
Things are winding down here now, so it's a good time to get things done and cleared away before the Christmas break.
We will be shut down all over the Christmas period and will be back in January to go again..
I am always in a reflective mindset this time of the year, someone very close to me had some great news yesterday, which they had worked hard for and very well deserved. I couldn’t be happier for them, I really couldn't. It made me think about how people can be one of two ways when something great happens to someone, either super happy or unfortunately the other way, no point wasting any time on those ones. People that are happy when someone succeeds at something are my kind of people, exactly like the amazing people that follow our business and support us here. When things go well, and someone achieves what they set out to do, it's not luck, its because they have worked their socks off, been prepared to have a go, ready to deal with the disappointment if it doesn’t go their way, and if it doesn’t then they pick themselves up and go again. So bloody well done, I say!
It's no different here, it's been a challenging year, but it's also been an amazing year. We are still here, still trying things and still having a go. That's all you can do, that's what we will continue to do next year.
Now back to today, internet orders are still coming in so these will be packed off and sent out, please be patient, Royal Mail can be a little slower updating their system, but you will get your order.
As I wrote before, its quiz time, I have not done one for a long time, so who knows how it will go, but I do know ill give it a good go, I have my bottle of Champagne in the fridge, my amazing Christmas shirt, found my trusted kazoo and my sharpies, so all I need to do is work out some questions. The theme will be Christmas, but there will probably be a few curve balls, not always planned ones but hey, who knows…It starts at 7pm, just go on our facebook page at 7 and you should see us live, you just need some paper and pen. The rules are simple, I do three rounds, the first is acting, so guess the film I am acting, write the answer on our paper, don’t type the answer, you can type anything else, usually people come up with very funny wrong answers which make me and others laugh. Once I have finished the 6 films I will go back through them with the correct answers, that's when the arguing begins, but remember its my quiz and I’m never wrong! Then its 6 questions on the drawing round, I draw something and you write down what it is, its as easy as that! The last round is 7 songs I play on the kazoo, so you have the potential to get 20 points…I was asked if there was a prize, yes there is, pride! The more you get the prouder you can be
