Signal!

Good morning!

Apologies for not writing on Friday, I was at Chatsworth, I normally can write it and post it from wherever but unfortunately Chatsworth is one of the very few places where it is impossible to get a signal. Of all the places throughout the country we visit for shows, Chatsworth is probably the worst for it. This not only affects communication with the outside world but the ability to take card payments becomes a major issue. We were sorted on this front but many many traders were not, through no fault of their own. This is heartbreaking, when you have done all the work, paid for your pitch etc, the customer really wants your product but then the payment won't go through.

I'm not starting the week moaning, but I was asked recently what gets me the most frustrated/angriest…Obviously I lose my keys and wallet a lot, that can get me going, but without a shadow of a doubt the thing that gives me the pip more than anything is crap phone signal! The amount of money that is spent on mobile phones in this country and the fact we are supposed to be high up the list of affluent countries in the world, why on earth do we struggle to get a phone signal! When I am driving along chatting and I hear the words, you are breaking up, I can’t hear you, I’m not going to lie, I start shouting and effing and jeffing at the phone. Anyway that's my rant over..Until I call someone later and it cuts out.

Back to the weekend, we had two shows on, Chatsworth and Holbeach, both of which were fantastic shows, I stayed on site at Chatsworth and camped there which I really enjoyed, apart from not being able to make phone calls etc I enjoyed being in a beautiful location, going for long walks around the showground. Seeing the hot air balloons going up each morning and evening. I saw a spitfire on Friday and Saturday and yesterday a Lancaster Bomber came over, what a site that was, gave me goosebumps. I also met some great people, many that come back to our stand year on year, so it was a really good weekend, pack up wasn’t too painful and it was a nice drive home.

So now we are onto this week...First things first is go through the many many emails and facebook messages, please bear with us, we will get back to you.

Then we will have our morning meeting, and start unloading the vans and see where we are at.

We have had a count up and will be able to produce 50 advent calendars this year, we are just working out what to put in them and then will put them out for pre-order and to be shipped in November.

I have been reliably informed its going to be warm all week, so it feels odd talking about Christmas, but our planning for it really ramps up now.

Right off to a meeting!

Have a good day!

Ant x
